Trick or Traitors
On Halloween night, beneath the moon’s glow,
A curious crowd had somewhere to go.
Past Capitol gates with their buckets in hand
Came a troublesome crew with a trick-or-treat plan.
Schumer came knocking, Pelosi did too,
With Biden behind them, not sure who was who.
Obama strolled with them, composed as could be,
While Hillary cackled, “Save something for me!”
Then Epstein appeared, looking pale as a ghost—
A costume, he claimed, that he liked the most.
AOC marched with a homemade decree:
“TAX ALL THE CANDY!” (but hers should be free).
Ilhan came regal, all dressed for the night,
While Warren’s costume caused a terrible fright.
Mamdani joined in with political cheer,
And Pence kept his distance—the coast wasn’t clear.
They jostled and muttered and crowded the door,
Each certain that somebody owed them some more.
Then Trump stepped outside with the candy in hand
And silently studied the ridiculous band.
He looked at their buckets, their masks and disguises,
Their promises, schemes, and October surprises.
Then under the moon, with a grin on his face,
He pointed his thumb toward the Capitol place:
“You’ve played enough tricks,
And you’ve had your fun.
There’s no candy for traitors—
Now scram, every one!”
