"As the day draws to an end and the sun slowly dips in the sky, the earth takes on a feeling of reverence. I envisioned this painting based on similar experiences I have felt in the country. As one follows through the sunflowers and apple trees, they meet the warmth of a welcoming home. A woman steps out from her porch to watch the beautiful sunset. There is a feeling of reverent stillness in the air. These moments are what I love to paint."
