"Every time I see the Grand Canyon it takes my breath away. In this painting I wanted to create the drama of light and color and space which makes the Grand Canyon so inspiring. In the distance, the "Buddha Temple" looms above the canyon horizon. You can see the Colorado River slowly winding its way between the cliffs. I also thought it was an effective addition to have the lone eagle soaring among the cliffs into the canyon below. What a marvelous place!"
